In the previous episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, fans finally got the Kaiju battle they’ve been waiting for with the Cai Cai Vilu (Titan X) fighting Godzilla. However, things aren’t as straightforward as many assumed. Titan X wasn’t fighting Godzilla for dominance. She was protecting her nest. But that wasn't the only thing that Cai Cai Vilu needed to watch out for.

While the two Titans fought, Isabel Simmons (adopted daughter of Apex’s CEO, Walter Simmons) sent Apex workers to go after Cai Cai Vilu’s nest. They successfully flew the nest away, but Titan X is on their trail with Godzilla following her.

With the next episode being the penultimate of season 2, you won’t want to miss what’s next. Here’s how you can watch season 2, episode 9 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters to find out what happens.

What to expect in episode 9

The official plot synopsis for the next episode of Monarch tells us that: “Monarch and the team head to Skull Island. Cate tries to reason with Kentaro and stop Isabel. Shaw and Keiko search for Billy's long-lost rift.” That explains the forest trying to kill them in the video above and why they’re on Skull Island. If this writer has to guess, the team will also find Billy.

On shows like this, never assume someone is dead unless you see the body. For example, most people may have thought that Keiko was dead after she was pulled away by giant bugs in episode 1 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Instead, she was alive and unaged.

While it’s doubtful that Billy is alive, stranger things have happened in this series. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him. At the very least, there will undoubtedly be an emotional moment and closure for Billy’s loved ones.

This is also the penultimate episode of the season, so you can rest assured that it will be a game-changer!
