In the previous episode of My Adventures with Superman, the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, Jon Kent, comes to the past. As soon as he arrives, he’s overly excited. This is understandable since his future is a Hellscape of robotic death machines. Plus, he gets to see his parents before he was born. This leads to a ton of fun, a Superman and Superboy team-up, and an unlikely partnership between dinosaurs and humans.
Sadly, the happiness doesn’t last past the day. Hank Henshaw takes control of his body from Lex Luthor. Before Hank can kill him, Luthor does what he always does and shifts the blame to Superman. Henshaw, who already hates Kal-El, leaves Lexcorp and challenges Superman to a fight. Jon Kent sees this and says that he thought he’d have more time to stop Henshaw from destroying the world.
If it wasn’t obvious at the end of episode 3 that Superboy was traveling back in time to stop Hank from ruining the world, it was made clear at the end of episode 4. The only thing that’s left is to see if the Super Family can prevent the robot apocalypse. Here's when and how you can watch the next episode to find out if the future is destined to be a nightmare.

My Adventures with Superman season 3 episode 5, titled "The Death of Superman", premieres on Adult Swim (via its Toonami programming block) in the US on Saturday, July 11, at 12:00 a.m. ET / PT. It will subsequently be available to stream on HBO Max on Sunday, July 12, at 3:00 a.m. ET, 12:00 a.m. PT, 1:00 a.m. MT, and 2:00 a.m. CT.
HBO Max is a global streaming service so the upcoming fifth episode of the DC series' fifth season will be available to watch around the world. What to expect in the next episode of My Adventures With Superman season 3
The upcoming episode of My Adventures with Superman has a very foreboding title, “The Death of Superman”, and fans should take it literally. However, it would be wise not to think that the Superman who dies will be Kal-El. It will likely either be Hank Henshaw, the Cyborg Superman, or the “Bizarro” one who debuted in the season 3 premiere. However, if it is Hank who dies, it won't last forever.
Jon Kent came to the past to prevent his future where the machines rule with an iron fist. And while this show normally has happy endings, there’s a chance that Jon goes back to the future and nothing’s changed because the threat of Cyborg Superman isn’t over.
Hank’s connection to machines probably means that he can download his consciousness into a computer and return later. If that happens, he will be more dangerous since he can be everywhere at once instead of being restricted to one body. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to find out if that’s the case.
