Since March 24, 2026, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has gotten us accustomed to weekly releases of violent, street-level projects. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 took the spotlight with eight gripping and dark episodes that proved the fight between the Kingpin of Crime and the Man Without Fear can send big ripples through the MCU. After Matt Murdock's adventure came to an end, Frank Castle took a step forward with the release of The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation. Now, for the first time in nearly two months, we don't have anything to look forward to in the next week. However, there are still plenty of exciting releases on the horizon.

2026 is a huge year for superhero fans in general. In less than two weeks (at the time of writing this), LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark will arrive on all major consoles, while audiences will also dive into a new and twisted version of Gotham courtesy of the upcoming DCU Clayface film. Furthermore, we're set to close the year in the biggest way possible thanks to the release of Avengers: Doomsday, the biggest superhero crossover ever attempted. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, it's time to answer the question: What's the next Marvel project in store?

Spider-Noir is set to be released on May 27

We first enjoyed a violent, street-level adventure with Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Then, we watched a violent, street-level special presentation called The Punisher: One Last Kill. So, to keep the streak going, it's time to experience a violent, street-level series courtesy of Spider-Noir.

While we're used to watching Peter Parker be the star of any live-action Spider-Man project, that's about to change. Enter Ben Reilly, a weary private investigator living in a twisted version of New York City set during the Great Depression. He used to wear a mask and suit to save the day as a vigilante called The Spider, but those days are long gone... or at least, that was the intention. See, a new case will pull Ben right back into the action, and will pit him against no shortage of iconic villains such as Tombstone, Black Cat, Sandman, Silvermane, and newcomers Megawatt and Jimmy Addison.

Unlike many other modern releases, all episodes of Spider-Noir will be released on May 27, 2026, on Prime Video, meaning you can binge-watch The Spider's upcoming adventure in one go. Furthermore, there will be two different versions to enjoy the show: one is completely in black and white, while the other is fully colored. Last, but certainly not least, it's worth highlighting that every episode will have a reported average runtime of 43 minutes.

While excitement levels are at an all-time high for Spider-Noir, it's worth keeping in mind that it is a completely isolated series. After all, it will take place in an alternate universe that shares no connections with any other superhero series made to date. So, in case you were curious about what the next proper MCU project is, then the answer is... also Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the next MCU release on July 31

After nearly a five-year hiatus, the wall-crawler will finally swing back onto the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. That means we're bound to witness a street-level adventure for the fourth time in a row, but this time it has the scope of an epic superhero crossover.

Both the Punisher and the Hulk are confirmed to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while it has been reported that fan-favorites such as Yelena Belova, Jean Grey, and Claire Temple will also have a role to play. Furthermore, the movie is set to feature no shortage of enemies, including The Hand, Tombstone, Scorpion, Boomerang, and Tarantula. But in case that list isn't long enough, it has been rumored that other antagonists such as 8-ball, Ramrod, and The Enforcers could wreak havoc as well.

If you're worried that Spider-Man: Brand New Day could risk being a little too crowded, fear not. The film's opening sequence has been officially revealed, highlighting that we'll see a montage where the friendly neighborhood hero will go up against multiple villains. This is likely where Boomerang and Tarantula will show up, along with the other rumored bad guys.

The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day broke the record for being the fastest ever to surpass one billion views. Needless to say, excitement levels are at an all-time high, and fortunately for us, we won't have to wait long to see what Peter Parker has been up to ever since his identity was erased from the world's memory.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on Jul. 31, 2026.
