Every new year brings its fair share of superhero projects, but 2026 is shaping up to be a little more special than usual.

Both Marvel and DC have multiple exciting projects on the horizon, with Avengers: Doomsday set to close the year in an explosive manner. Throughout the way, audiences will finally meet the DCU's version of Gotham City courtesy of Clayface, get to see Tom Holland's Peter Parker swing onto the big screen after nearly half a decade in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and venture into uncharted planets with Supergirl herself in her own solo movie.

While it will be entertaining to see two superhero juggernauts compete for the audience's attention on the big screen, the two will join forces for the crossover of a lifetime in the comic book world. Back in September 2025, Marvel and DC marked the beginning of an era by releasing Deadpool/Batman No. 1, an action-packed issue that not only paired the Merc With a Mouth with the World's Greatest Detective, but also shone the spotlight on multiple characters from both universes. Fortunately, such an ambitious event was merely the beginning, as another iconic team-up is on its way, and it's everything we could've hoped for.

Our first look at Spider-Man/Superman is here

Two of the biggest icons of hope are set to join forces in Spider-Man/Superman No. 1. The iconic crossover will see the Wall-Crawler and the Man of Steel join forces to defeat the terrifying duo of Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn. New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer is set to write the story, while fan-favorite artist Pepe Larraz will bring it to life. At long last, we finally have our first look at the highly anticipated event:

As was the case with Deadpool/Batman No. 1, Spider-Man/Superman No. 1 will feature multiple "bonus" stories where different Marvel and DC characters come together in "what if" scenarios that are unlike anything fans have seen before. Spider-Man: Noir will meet Golden Age Superman, Mighty Thor and Wonder Woman will fight a symbiote invasion, John Henry Irons will get to face the Hobgoblin, and more.

Spider-Man/Superman No. 1 is set to be published by Marvel and released in April 2026. Furthermore, multiple variants covers will be released, created by legendary artists such as Sara Pichelli, Walter Simonson, Greg Capullo, Marcos Martin, Ryan Stegman, Peach Momoko, Erik Larsen, Jerome Opeña, and Russell Dauterman. But the best part? We won't have to wait until April to see these two legendary heroes meet.

DC's Superman/Spider-Man No. 1 will be published on March 25, 2026. In it, Clark Kent will chase a big story for the Daily Planet, only to find out that Peter Parker is doing the same for the Daily Bugle. The two will then uncover a big conspiracy involving supervillains Brainiac and Doctor Octopus, two of the brightest minds in the entire superhero universe. But if that wasn't enough, the issue will feature multiple bonus stories, too.

What would happen if Jimmy Olsen were to meet Carnage? Could Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson make for the team-up of a lifetime? Can Power Girl and Punisher get along? Fortunately, we'll get answers to all of these questions with the release of
Superman/Spider-Man this March.

2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the very first Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man comic book crossover. To celebrate the occasion, Marvel and DC released a Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man No. 1 back on Jan. 7, 2026. Furthermore, DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition No. 1 will be released on Feb. 4, 2026.

2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the superhero world, and witnessing Spider-Man and Superman team up will definitely be one of the highlights. Fortunately, it won't be long before these two legends collide.
