Dexter was one of the worst series finales ever. It was so bad that it ruined the entire show for longtime viewers. It doesn’t help that it may have gone on too long. The Sopranos and Seinfeld had conclusions that left fans unfulfilled, but they remain classics over a decade later.

On the flip side, you have Breaking Bad and The Good Place. Both shows concluded perfectly. Get in, get out, stick the landing. There’s no point in dragging things on longer than they need to. Stretch it out and you can ruin the product. This is no different in comic books.

Some comic series don't have a final ending. The characters can come and go, but the stories change. For example, as this article is being written, Action Comics is on issue No. 1061. Other times you’ll get a series that has a beginning, a middle, and an end. A good example of that is Garth Ennis’ Punisher Max. Ennis told a tale and made sure Frank Castle wrapped it all up before he concluded his run. Later, Jason Aaron came in and gave the Punisher the final farewell everyone assumed he’d get.

This article will highlight ten of the best series finales in comic books. Some of them gave the characters the life they deserved. Others could leave you in tears. Either way, the last issue left readers satisfied.

WARNING! Spoilers for comic books ahead. That's including some of them that are currently shows or movies.
