5. Catwoman

It's hard to imagine that Catwoman originated as a potential Batman Returns spinoff focused on Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, but a decade of development hell and bad ideas ended up producing this instead: A standalone film inspired by the DC character with an original Catwoman at its core, played by Halle Berry.

The film was a box office failure, grossing just $82 million against its $100 million budget, but Catwoman certainly wasn't a flash in the pan, for the movie has lived on in infamy in the years since its release because of its incredibly poor critical reception. Whether it was the flimsy script, questionable creative choices, lack of loyalty to the source material, or even the performances, every comic book fan and critic has an opinion on Catwoman (and most are not good ones).

That being said, like Batman and Robin, the movie has rewatch value simply because it's a vibe of its own. Sure, it's not award-worthy and it certainly doesn't come close to the genuinely masterful superhero movies we've seen over the years, but it is silly, silly fun that is really quite enjoyable if you give it a chance. Hey, Halle Berry accepted a Razzie Award for Worst Actress in person and was willing to laugh at the movie; you can do the same.

Honestly, Catwoman doesn't deserve the hate.
