6. Teen Titans Go!

It's really quite impressive that Teen Titans Go! is still going considering how many DC fans dislike it. It's not that the animation isn't good or that the writing isn't strong; it's certainly not that the performances aren't worth it (because they are). The problem with Teen Titans Go! is that it's a silly humorous spinoff of the far superior Teen Titans.

The original animated series ran for five seasons between 2003 and 2006, becoming one of Cartoon Network's most popular shows. For years fans had been calling for a revival series that would not only continue these epic stories in an era where they might be more appreciated, but give the show more of a conclusive finish. Unfortunately, Teen Titans Go! fails to do that.

Yes, it reunited the amazing voice cast and yes, it features a variation of the character designs used on the original show, but that's where the similarities stop. There is essentially no continuity shared between the two shows and even though the silly outlandish plots of Teen Titans Go! may be fun in the moment, you forget about them as soon as the credits roll. It's a far cry from the impactful storytelling in Teen Titans.

Teen Titans Go! is a harmless show honestly and it serves its target audience well, but it's completely understandable that fans just want to see their favorite characters given more compelling adventures. As a result, it will always pale in comparison to the original series.
