3. Suguru Geto
I'm going to try to not scream about how much I hate this man. Or rather, what's taken over him. Because I hate him.
Geto is like that one guy at a party who not only believes he's the smartest in the room but also decides that only a select few should even be allowed to party, and everyone else needs to hit the road - forever. That's Suguru Geto in a nutshell. This former top-notch Jujutsu sorcerer and Gojo's best friend turned party pooper extraordinaire and major asshat believes that only those who can wield magic deserve to have a spot on planet Earth.
His idea of a perfect world is one where ordinary humans (yeah, like you and me) are as welcome as a skunk at a lawn party. It's no wonder he's not winning any popularity contests among fans. His extremist makeover from a once-promising sorcerer to a full-blown antagonist has everyone rooting for him to get a taste of his own magical medicine.
But Geto's charm (or the lack thereof) isn't just about his twisted world view. Oh no, he takes it up a notch. Imagine your worst breakup, and then multiply the drama, betrayal, and heartache by a hundred. That's how Geto feels.
He was once best buddies with my anime husband Satoru Gojo, the silver-haired, eye-covered sorcerer everyone can't help but love. They were the dynamic duo, magical bros who could have been the gold standard for sorcerer solidarity. But then, Geto decided that his friend's inclusive views on humans and sorcerers living in harmony were too mainstream for his taste. He chose the path of betrayal, turning his back on his friend and their shared ideals, and became the ex-friend who launched a thousand battles.
Geto's transformation from friend to foe, from sorcerer to extremist, is a classic tale of falling out, making him a character fans love to hate.
