There's no denying that 2024 will be filled with so many new and returning anime releases that you won't be able to pick just one show to watch a week. In fact, you may get so overwhelmed with the number of anime releases that you may decide to catch up with what's hot at a later time. But we don't want you to miss out on the fun, so we're here to help you sift through it all.

To put things into perspective, there are over 50 new anime releases and 20 returning anime titles in Spring 2024 alone. However, to start, we believe there is only a handful you should put at the very top of your list and a few you probably shouldn't waste your time with.

Without further ado, here's which anime you should watch and skip in 2024!

WATCH: Solo Leveling

Release Date: Jan. 6

If you had the fortune of following Solo Leveling ever since it was a manhwa, then you know that this anime doesn't play around!

The anime follows the life of Sung Jinwoo, a young boy who becomes one of the best monster hunters the world has ever seen. It wasn't always like this though, as Sung Jinwoo was extremely weak before his powers awakened. But now, he has the world at his fingertips and will use his newfound strength to protect the weak and forge a world where monsters don't have the upper hand.

The only thing better than this coming-of-age story is this anime's star-studded cast and crew.

From Attack on Titan's Hiroyuki Sawano serving as the composer for the series to Sword Art Online director Shunsuke Nakashige serving as the director, there are tons of familiar names that you'll be more than thrilled to learn all the people working in this title.

In addition to Sawano and Nakashige, Solo Leveling includes:

  • Taito Ban as Jinwoo Sung
  • Makoto Furukawa as Jinchui Woo
  • Banjo Ginga as Gunhee Go
  • Daisuke Hirakawa as Jong-In Choi
  • Genta Nakamura as Jinho Yoo
  • Hiroki Touchi as Yoonho Baek
  • Reina Ueda as Hae-In Cha
