Deadpool 3 or Deadpool & Wolverine is creating a lot of buzz and for good reason. Deadpool is one of the most popular Marvel comic characters in existence and two successful films are proof that fans cannot get enough of the foul-mouthed, butt-kicking, fourth-wall-breaking, anti-hero.

Now that the next installment to Wade Wilson's story will officially be joining the ever-growing MCU on July 26, many wonder which characters from the previous films will return and which ones won't. For today's article, we are taking a look at four characters that probably won't appear in Deadpool 3.

1. Weasel (T.J. Miller)

Weasel was Wade's best friend in both films who worked at Sister Margaret's School for Wayward Children. Don't let the name fool you, it was an underground bar and hangout for mercenaries and all kinds of unfriendly folk, where Wade spent most of his time picking up jobs and where he met his love, Vanessa.

Weasel, the bartender, was humorous, loyal (depending on the situation), and overall the kind of guy we expect to pal around Wade. But after a fallout between T.J. Miller (Weasel) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), we're not certain we'll be seeing this wisecracking buddy anytime soon.

After what appeared to have either miscommunication or misspeaking (on Miller's part), his return seems very unlikely.

2. Cable (Josh Brolin)

Cable entered the Deadpool franchise in the second film as a time traveler hellbent on killing the one responsible for murdering his family. Geared up and equally muscular to boot, Cable became a continuous thorn in Deadpool's side (or is it the other way around), especially since the one responsible for Cable's misery is only a kid.

The kid, Rusty Collins, is a powerful mutant, who shares some interesting lines and humor while trying to make his own way. Although Cable eventually turns around and willingly decides to work with Wade and his team, he provides Wade with the ultimate gift.

Thanks to Cable, Wade prevents Vanessa's death at the beginning of the film, kills off the embarrassingly bad Deadpool from 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and kills Ryan Reynolds from accepting the role of the Green Lantern. Although it is rumored Cable will return, we're not 100% sure, so for now, he remains on our list.

3. Rusty Collins (Julian Dennison)

Speaking of Rusty, we find it highly unlikely he will return in the next installment. Also known as Firefist, due to his mutant abilities of fire, Wade was able to successfully prevent him from becoming a future killer.

His bond with Wade in Deadpool 2 created many humorous and heartfelt moments but the ending of the film didn't specify where his story would go next. Perhaps he'll be staying at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters where audiences probably still won't see any teachers or staff outside of Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and now Yukio.

We're hoping there will at least be a reference to Firefist in the next film.

4. Domino (Zazie Beetz)

Last but not least is Domino, the sassy, butt-kicking, and laid-back mutant with the ability to change the luck of herself and others, appears to be absent in the Deadpool & Wolverine teaser. Although that does not guarantee anything, either way, we did not see Deadpool 3 mentioned on Zazie Beetz's IMDb page.

As one of the few survivors from Wade's ridiculous and ill-prepared plan to infiltrate and rescue Rusty in Deadpool 2, Domino was one of the cooler additions to the Deadpool franchise. Perhaps she too found herself at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters as a teacher or mentor.

We'd like to think she'll return at some point, even if for only a reference or two.
