5 DC actors who have appeared in the most DCEU movies
3. Henry Cavill as Superman
It all started with him, the hero who represents hope and salvation (even if the media loves to portray him as the bad guy lately). Henry Cavill's Superman was the one to kick-start the DCEU as a whole and was an integral part of that world until The Justice League (2017) premiered to mostly mixed and negative reactions. After that, Zack Snyder's plans for the franchise were tossed out of the window and there was no turning back.
There are many problems with the current state of the DCEU (which is why it will undergo a reset in the first place). However, Henry Cavill being cast as The Man of Steel was definitely not one of them. Many fans even pushed for the British Actor to return in James Gunn's upcoming Superman movie, but that didn't end up happening as the role was recast. So with that, Henry Cavill's portrayal of Clark Kent came to a rather abrupt end.
Many fans claim Cavill's take on Clark Kent was short-lived, as he didn't even have a second solo movie of his own. However, he's also the third character to make the most appearances in the DCEU with (technically) six films and (technically) eight total appearances across all mediums. Those projects are as follows:
- Man of Steel (2013)
- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
- Justice League (2017)
- Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
- Black Adam (2022)
- The Flash (2023) - while Henry Cavill himself didn't appear, a CGI double of him made it into the final cut.
Besides, Superman himself had two more cameos, even if Henry Cavill himself wasn't present when they were filmed:
- Shazam! (2019)
- Peacemaker (2022)
