Gabriel Macht

I can almost guarantee Gabriel Macht is not an actor you'll see on many Batman fan cast lists around the internet, but his name most certainly should be in the mix as he would be the absolute perfect actor to play the Dark Knight in the new DCU.

Let's start with what makes him perfect for the role of Bruce Wayne by looking at the role that has made Macht a household name: Harvey Spector. In Suits, Macht showcased his ability to embody suave confidence, a key characteristic of Bruce Wayne. Harvey was cocky and arrogant, yet Macht's charm made us fall in love with this character as he always commanded attention when he walked into the room. There is no denying he would be able to brilliantly portray Wayne's sophisticated billionaire by day, giving us a Bruce that has a magnetic energy that pulls audiences and makes them see why Bruce is Gotham's most sought-after playboy.

But let's not forget the other side of the coin which is the task of pulling off Bruce's alter ego, the Dark Knight. Well, look no further to Macht's work in The Spirit to showcase why he's a perfect pick for Batman.

As the film's title character, Macht demonstrated his capability to embody a masked vigilante with determination and grit. His portrayal showcased physicality, intensity, and a dark edge, making him a fitting choice to bring Batman's brooding complexity to life in the new DCU.

If Gunn and company were wise, they'd consider Macht for the role as there truly is no better man for the job.
