A Quiet Place: Day One

WATCH! After watching the gripping trailer above, you'll understand why I recommend watching this movie when it hits theaters on June 28, 2024. It's an apocalyptic horror film serving as a spin-off prequel in the A Quiet Place movie series. In the first two films, we're already thrown into the story, but in A Quiet Place: Day One, we learn why the world went quiet. It's set during the first day of the alien invasion, and we follow new characters as they try to navigate a world where they must stay silent to stay alive.

Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o stars as Sam, a woman who was just visiting New York City when the alien invasion happened. Sam soon meets a man named Eric (Joseph Quinn) and they band together to try to survive the city together. Other actors in the cast are Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, and Eliane Umuhire.

Night Swim

SKIP! Night Swim is the type of horror movie where you can call each scene before it actually happens. Where's the fun in that? Honestly, the film's plot didn't pique my interest in the first place, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. In the end, I was greatly disappointed. I don't think it should be called a horror movie since it seemed more like a family drama than anything. It wasn't scary in the slightest. I mean, I get that it's rated PG-13, but I've seen many horror movies with the same maturity rating and they weren't as bad as this. It's going to be a skip for me!

After a family moves into their new home, they soon discover that the backyard swimming pool is haunted by a malevolent force that intends on bringing them under to their deaths. Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle, Gavin Warren, Jodi Long, Nancy Lenehan, and others star in this film.
