7) Clover Ebi

Clover Ebi's death struck a chord with fans for several reasons. First off, Clover wasn't just any character - he was the embodiment of good luck, a beacon of optimism in a world often shadowed by grim events. Picture him as this charismatic leader with a clover-shaped emblem, always carrying a hopeful smile and a strategic mind that made him a standout in the Ace-Ops, Atlas Academy's groups of Huntsmen and Huntresses. What made it more painful was the way it unfolded, dripping in irony and tragedy. Clover, who had always been a symbol of fortune, met his end in a twist of fate that was pretty unlucky, underscoring the unpredictable and often harsh realities of the RWBY universe, something that keeps this incredibly fun series fresh and bingeable.

Clover, determined to follow General Ironwood's orders, attempts to apprehend Qrow, leading to a tragic misunderstanding between the two allies. When a fight between Clover, Qrow, and Tyrian goes down, Tyrian makes the conflict to his advantage by manipulating friends Clover and Qrow to fight each other. In the heat of the battle, Tyrian takes advantage of the chaos and fatally wounds Clover using Qrow's weapon, Harbinger. Clover's passing left us all a little sad, especially when remembering his interactions with Qrow Branwen. Their dynamic, a mix of camaraderie and rivalry, was intriguing. Qrow's bad luck semblance starkly contrasting with Clover's good fortune was something we loved watching when they were together as they canceled each other out and Qrow finally felt like he didn't ruin everything at all times. Their bond, though complex, hinted at a deep mutual respect and possibly more. Clover's death not only marked a significant loss for Qrow but it also rippled through the storyline, affecting the morale and decisions of his friends in the end. His death served as a somber reminder that even in a world filled with superpowers and larger-than-life battles, vulnerability and tragedy can touch anyone, making Clover's demise a moment that stayed with fans.

And it only made us hate Tyrian more.
