All 11 The Flash suits ranked from worst to best
6. Jay Garrick's suit (The Flash TV series / DC's Stargirl)
Worn by: John Wesley Shipp
The man we refer to as Jay Garrick used to be known as The Flash. Heck, on The Flash, he's literally known as "The Flash of Earth-3" (or at least he was before Crisis On Infinite Earths reset everything). He's also known as the Flash of the Justice Society of American on DC's Stargirl. For those reasons (and so many more), we're including Jay Garrick's Flash suit on our list.
The second season of The Flash had already introduced a pretty comic-accurate suit for imposter Jay Garrick, Zoom, so it had its work cut out for it with the real Jay. Thankfully, it didn't stray too far from the source material with this one either, sustaining the character's iconic look with the red jacket and blue pants, but updating it ever so slightly so that parts of it had the same texture as the speedster uniforms unique to the show. Its lightning bolt symbol was also a lot smaller and its signature red and blue color scheme was decorated with some subtle yellow accents to round it all out.
It was a modern spin on a classic look that completely felt in-line with something the character would wear, and John Wesley Shipp looked absolutely incredible in it - a worthy actor to don the legendary helmet.
