The Little Mermaid was truly visually stunning and was a spectacle for the eyes with the creative team outdoing themselves as they brought to life the beautiful underwater world Atlantica. No detail was spared and it shows through the breathtaking beauty of the film.

Of course, the real standout was the performance from our new little mermaid, Halle Bailey. Bailey was absolutely flawless in the role of Ariel, capturing the essence of the character generations fell in love via the original animated classic with while helping to introduce the character to a brand new generation in the process. Not only was her performance magical, but so were her vocals which were absolutely incredible breathing new life into the film's iconic musical numbers.

We'd be remiss not to also acknowledge and celebrate how The Little Mermaid managed to bring much-needed diversity that the original lacked. The 2023 live-action remake, gave new generations of young viewers the chance to see themselves reflected in the world of The Little Mermaid bringing a more accurate representation of society.

The Little Mermaid was Disney at its finest and has us very excited about the prospect of what future live-action adaptations could bring.
