All 4 seasons of Killing Eve ranked from worst to best
4. Killing Eve season 4
Every season of Killing Eve was enjoyable to watch except the fourth and final season. I was really looking forward to watching this season, too, but I was greatly disappointed with how the writers decided to wrap it up and end the series. While this season did see Eve and Villanelle finally get together in a way, it was really all for nothing because only a couple of scenes later, their seemingly happy ending is disrupted by Villanelle being gunned down by a hitman hired by Carolyn. This was such a letdown, and I’m still in disbelief years later.
But besides the Eve and Villanelle storyline, the way the writers chose to wrap up The Twelve storyline was annoying as well. While Killing Eve spent a significant amount of time on Eve and Villanelle’s complicated relationship, figuring out who The Twelve were was just as important. That’s why I was so baffled by the fact that we never got to see The Twelve members' faces when Villanelle single-handedly took them down. The show had been building up to their identities being finally revealed, and we got absolutely nothing in the end. Thanks for nothing, Laura Neal.
Truthfully, the best part of the season was seeing Eve finally give in to her desires and be with Villanelle the way she’s always wanted to, even if it was for a short period. Other than that, I have nothing positive to say about the fourth season. If I could, I would erase the entire fourth season from my brain except for the sweet moments between Eve and Villanelle. I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this way, either.
