9. "Secrets and Lies" - episode 3

In ninth place, we have the series' third episode. In it, we meet the general who helped fund Monarch after insulting Keiko for being a Japanese woman, and who decides that blowing up a huge monster whose existence was just discovered into smithereens with a freaking nuclear bomb is the right course of action.

When we return to the present, we've got Cate and company on a ferry to Korea, dealing with their own Monarch-induced drama, fallouts, and newly found knowledge. May starts displaying mannerisms that indicate she's definitely hiding something, but that goes way over everyone's heads, conveniently. Speaking of conveniently, how did Lee know his buddy would be working that day and would know exactly what to do without even talking to him? Telepathy, I tell you.

We continue ping-ponging between timelines, as the show gets us used to the back and forth and does a really good job at separating past and present We get to see Godzilla emerging from the water. He's majestic, he's commanding, he's... disappearing in a poof? And speaking of the past, was the military handing out blank checks like candy for more monster hunting? It's like a bizarre version of Pokémon GO.

We end in Alaska, meeting the Frost Vark and doing a happy dance for finding yet another awesome Titan. So why ninth place? Well, it's a bit of a timeline tango, with enough back and forth to make your head spin. Plus, there's a mix of drama, monster action, and some convenient plot twists that might feel a bit too neat. But hey, it's still a fun ride with our favorite titans and a dose of human drama to keep things interesting.
