Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers

Ranking Phase 1 in the middle of the pack might be a controversial choice for many, but hear me out before you channel your inner Hulk and swat me around like I'm a Loki variant.

The first phase of the MCU was groundbreaking and literally paved the way for everything that followed. Honestly, the MCU would not be possible without the films that were released as part of the first phase of the MCU. These movies were the first pieces of the puzzle, the framework for what would become one of the most successful shared universes ever created in film or television.

Phase 1 introduced the first Avengers and came to an epic conclusion with the Avengers assembling for the first time. The moment was magical and a moment years in the making. Seeing the Avengers come together to save the world in the battle against Loki in New York remains one of the most magical and unforgettable moments in the history of the MCU.

However, the phase also had some less stellar entries such as The Incredible Hulk which is regarded as one of the worst MCU movie, a disappointing Iron Man sequel with one of the dullest MCU villains ever, and Thor which was okay but far from impressive.
