10. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

In the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, we get to see Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker embracing his role as Spider-Man and juggling being a hero with his relationship with Gwen Stacy... and boy the universe is throwing everything it has at him.

While the film's central villain is Jamie Foxx's Electro, the movie also tosses in a new Green Goblin as well as Rhino... which is honestly part of its shortcoming. They tried to set up multiple villains and storylines, and it felt a bit messy. In trying to bring all of these villains into the mix, some of the character development felt rushed, especially with Electro and the Green Goblin.

That doesn't mean their presence was all bad as the movie did give us some amazing moments with the villains including a few stunning action sequences. This includes one scene that brought us arguably the most heartbreaking moment in the entire Spider-Verse franchise: the death of Gwen Stacy.

Gwen's death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was undoubtedly the movie's most impactful moment. It was a pivotal scene that left a lasting impression on viewers. Garfield portrayed Peter's grief and guilt with raw emotion, showcasing the depth of his character's love for Gwen.

As a whole, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 missed the mark in the eyes of many, but for me, Garfield's Spider-Man will always be underrated as will the sequel which took some big swings and wasn't as bad as many make it out to be.
