7. The Amazing Spider-Man

When Sony announced it was going to be rebooting the Spider-Man franchise just a few short years after Spider-Man 3 brought an end to Tobey Maguire's trilogy, fans were shocked. Truth be told, I'm convinced many didn't even give Andrew Garfield a fair chance because of this very fact which is a real shame.

The Amazing Spider-Man introduced us to Garfield's Peter Parker, a teen trying to figure out who he is and just trying to get through high school where his biggest struggle was to survive and process his feelings for his first crush, Gwen Stacy. This Peter is also struggling with being abandoned by his parents, which leads him to a journey for answers after he discovers a briefcase that belonged to his father. This journey leads him to Oscorp where he is bitten by the radioactive spider turning him into Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield often gets overlooked, but man, he brought something special to the role. The way he captured Peter Parker's wit and vulnerability was just spot-on. The Amazing Spider-Man movies are underrated gems! Sure, they might not have had the same hype as some of the others, but they had heart. The chemistry between Garfield and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy was electric and elevated the films, bringing so much heart and humor via their sweet dynamic.

The Amazing Spider-Man deserves more love than some give it and if you're one of those who has written the movie off, maybe it's time you check it out again!
