The 17 best and worst Comic Book costumes of all time
By Mark Lynch
Spider-Man
Spider-Man has a lot of interesting costume designs over the years. Beyond the red and blue with webs, he's worn an all-black costume (everyone loves this one), a red and yellow Iron Spider armor when he was working for Tony Stark and so many more. Nevertheless, the red and blue uniform is always Peter Parker’s go-to.
Peter’s Spider-Man costumes depend on his mood and mission. When he’s in all-black, he’s more aggressive or possessed by a symbiote. If he’s in something with tech in it, he’s fighting someone with special powers (cosmic, electricity, etc.). There are also ones like the Enigma Force where he’s beyond enhanced. Yet, he always goes back to his original suit. This one represents him just being your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Superman
Finally, we come to one of the most recognized uniforms of all time. Superman’s blue and red hasn’t changed much over the years. Whenever it is, fans tend to get upset. Once the backlash gets overwhelming, DC Comics gives Man of Steel his original look. That includes the red tights.
People can joke about the red underwear over the spandex, but he doesn’t look like Superman without it. Is it silly? Of course, it is. But it’s a look that people love to make fun of and enjoy seeing even more.
Lastly, there's the "S" on his chest. This was a symbol of hope long before Man of Steel debuted in theaters. People saw it and knew everything would be okay.
