The way I squealed when we first saw Wanda appear at the end of What If...? season 2 episode 5. Remember how we all thought Wanda Maximoff, my beloved Scarlet Witch, was a goner after the ending of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? Well, thank you gods of revivals because Marvel just flipped the script in the most fantastic way possible.

Enter the scene: Wanda Maximoff of 1602. She's the Merlin of her time - much like the legendary wizard, but with a dash of red. She's the mastermind behind summoning Captain Carter and plays a pivotal role in uncovering the "future man" - Rogers Hood. She also goes head-to-head with none other than King Thor of 1602 and even keeps a whole reality from collapsing. If you thought our MCU Wanda was cool, 1602's Wanda will blow your mind.

What's super exciting is that this opens up a universe of possibilities. Marvel Studios teasing us with this variant is like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat when we thought the show was over. It could be a serious game-changer. It could mean there's still hope for more Wanda to come from the MCU. It could mean I'm totally looking way too deeply into this because she's my favorite, and that's also totally fine. I'm over here doing my happy dance regardless because, let's face it, we can never have too much Wanda Maximoff.
