4. The first switcheroo fight in The Marvels

In The Marvels, the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment, we get a front-row seat to the switcheroo tango between Kamala Khan, played by the incredible Iman Vellani, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Carol Danvers, once again brought to life by Brie Larson.

Their encounter isn't just your regular, action-packed superhero showdown. It's peppered with a cosmic hiccup - too much power use causes these three heroes to swap places. It’s basically a high-stakes game of tag with the universe as the playground, where every burst of power flips the script – and their locations: one moment, we're with Kamala duking it out in her New Jersey neighborhood, and the next, we're zipping across space to wherever Carol's locking horns with the Kree. And just for good measure, a detour to Nick Fury’s SABER space station adds an extra layer of chuckles and excitement. This fun dance of swaps also adds Monica into the mix as the movie progresses, and turns every action sequence into a beautifully choreographed fight.

It's all very fun and light-hearted, reminding us of how entertaining a product Marvel can be when it gets the tone, action, and storyline just right. The Marvels deserves far more appreciation than it was given.
