Daredevil: Born Again release date confirmed for 2025 (Plus find out when Ironheart is coming!)
By Cody Schultz
The wait for new episodes of Daredevil is officially on! After months of speculation as to when the highly anticipated revival series Daredevil: Born Again series will be released, Disney has confirmed the new series will be coming in March 2025.
It had long been speculated among fans that the show might arrive sometime in the spring, but now we know for certain that the series will premiere sometime in March. The news was confirmed by stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio during Disney’s 2024 Upfront event in New York.
The pair will be reprising their respective roles of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil and Wilson Fisk within the series and they’ll be joined by several familiar faces from Netflix’s Daredevil series including Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson.
A March release date window makes perfect sense as the show was originally expected to arrive in Spring 2024 before being delayed due to a combination of reasons including rewrites and the actors’ and writers’ strikes of 2023.
Charlie Cox confirmed to TVLine that the season will be nine episodes long so an early March premiere could help ensure the season wraps ahead of Thunderbolts' release. It’ll be interesting to see when in March the show might arrive but we imagine Marvel will want to put some space between it and Thunderbolts which is slated to open on May 2 which means we could be looking at an early March premiere.
Iron Heart will premiere in 2025 in addition to Daredevil: Born Again
While Disney openly shared the release month for Daredevil: Born Again, it played things a bit safer in teasing Iron Heart’s arrival at the 2024 Upfront event. At this time, it’s unclear when exactly Iron Heart will premiere but we do know that the new series will finally arrive in 2025.
Given Daredevil: Born Again is coming in March, it’s likely that Iron Heart will get either a Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 release date. We say this as it seems highly unlikely Marvel will drop the show before Daredevil: Born Again, which is expected to be the first live-action Marvel show of 2025.
With Marvel cutting down on the number of live-action releases in a calendar year, it’s going to be interesting to see if Daredevil: Born Again and Iron Heart end up being the only live-action releases for the year from Marvel Television on Disney+. There is a chance a third series could enter the mix as well, but we’ll have to wait to see if Marvel will opt to release three live-action shows in 2025 or just two.
