Every Superman ranked from weakest to strongest
8. George Reeves' Superman
Similarly to Kirk Alyn's Superman, Goerge Reeves' Man of Still was restricted by both the limitations of television and the character's unexplored potential in the comics at the time, making him a bit harder to place on this list. The thing that puts him above the film serial Superman, however, is that he had far more time to show us what he could do, as Adventures of Superman ran for six seasons.
Reeves was TV's first Superman and he did a great job in the role, capturing the essence of what makes the character who he is. He also looked believable as the character, in spite of the dated suit and special effects, and it all had to do with how Reeves portrayed him.
Speaking of what Superman could do, the TV series showcased so much of what the Man of Steel was known for. He could fly, run very fast, and use his strength in creative ways to stop the bad guys from winning. As the show got more and more outlandish in its later seasons, it did begin to get somewhat repetitive, but hey it made the most of relying on our knowledge of what Superman was capable of and wasn't necessarily interested in adding to that.
This was the most powerful Superman we had ever seen at the time, but the character's evolution into a much more powerful super-being in the comics would translate to the screen too.
