DC movies are now streaming on Disney+ (and no, it's not an April Fools joke)

Yes, it might still be April Fools’ Day, but this is not a joke: Disney+ is now the streaming home of DC movies… well at least a few of them.
When Disney+ first launched, the only superhero movies fans could enjoy were those from the MCU but as time went on Disney+ gradually added additional offerings to its ranks including the Sony Spider-Man films and 20th Century Fox’s X-Men movies.
We expected that Disney would attempt to add those movies over time to build up its Marvel movie catalog. What we never expected was that we’d one day be able to watch DC movies on Disney+ but as of April 1, 2024, there are now four DC movies streaming on Disney+!
In a surprise that no one saw coming, Disney+ subscribers can now watch Wonder Woman, DC League of Super-Pets, Shazam!, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods on the platform – though there is a twist. It appears all four DC movies can only be watched on Disney+ as part of the Hulu bundle, meaning you’ll need to either have the Hulu bundle or an active Hulu subscription in order to watch the DC movies on Disney+.
It’s unclear how long the four DC films will be on Disney+ but we expect that they’ll remain on the streamer for at least a month, possibly longer, given they only just arrived on April 1. It’ll also be interesting to see whether any additional movies from the DC catalog eventually make their way to Disney+. There was never an expectation that the DC movies would ever make their way to Disney+ so the fact that there are currently four DC movies available alongside the MCU movies is a real win for superhero movie fans!
