Demon Slayer 2024 movie: When and where to watch
By Diana Nosa
It's that time of the year again when our favorite anime, Demon Slayer, releases a brand-new film for us all to enjoy!
This year, Demon Slayer is back and better than ever with the adaptation of the Hashira Training Arc, also known as the arc where our protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, is determined to get even stronger to defeat the menacing villain known as Muzan Kibutsuji. What's more, this is the point in the anime where you'll learn more about the remaining Hashira members and their unique powers.
With all of this and more in mind, this 2024 film isn't one you want to miss out on or get spoiled by your fellow anime lovers. This is why we're here to tell you everything to know about Demon Slayer - To the Hashira Training!
How to watch Demon Slayer - To the Hashira Training
As of today, the only place fans can watch every second of this 2024 film is at their local IMAX Theater on Friday, Feb. 23!
Demon Slayer has done this before with past movie releases such as Infinity Train and To the Swordsmith Village, so it doesn't surprise us that the anime is exclusively releasing this content in theaters once again.
If you aren't able to visit the theaters, stay on the lookout for when Crunchyroll adds the title to its streaming service.
Is To the Hashira Training the same as Swordsmith Village Arc?
The 2024 film will cover the season finale of the Swordsmith Village Arc, which means you'll see a few familiar scenes. However, don't expect to see everything that you've seen before, as the movie will also adapt what's set to be the first episode of the upcoming season of Demon Slayer.
Here's a quick synopsis of everything you can expect from To the Hashira Training:
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- will feature “A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light” (Episode 11) from the Swordsmith Village Arc, featuring the conclusion of the fierce battle between Tanjiro and Upper Four demon Hantengu, as well as Nezuko's triumph over the sun. Seamlessly followed by Episode 1 of the highly anticipated Hashira Training Arc, featuring the start of training conducted by the Hashira in preparation for the forthcoming final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, an episode never before seen by audiences."
