2. Michael Keaton's Batman

There is a reason that many people still consider Michael Keaton to be the greatest Batman of all time. His portrayal of The Dark Knight was revolutionary in 1989, and seeing it again in 2023 was one of the best aspects of The Flash movie because it reminded audiences just how impeccable he is in the role.

Keaton's Batman might not have been involved in as many fights as his counterparts, but on the few occasions that he did have to take those arms out from under his cape, he ensured that the battles didn't last long. From quickly dispatching The Joker's henchmen in Batman to easily subduing those soldiers in The Flash, he is incredibly efficient in battle. The latter of those battles is even more impressive, because it was the first time audiences truly got the chance to see that version of the character engage in a modern-day fight sequence and it was glorious.

This Batman is also incredibly relentless, surviving vehicle crashes, and plots to frame him, refusing to stop at nothing to defeat his foes. He even held his own against an advanced Kryptonian, outsmarting and ultimately killing him before his own death (that was thankfully erased from existence). And on the note of outwitting, no other Batman was as quietly smart as this one, as - much like he does on the battlefield - he could win a showdown before moving a muscle, having figured out a creative way to outsmart his opponent.

There is a powerful aura to Keaton's Batman that just can't be replicated. Strong just doesn't cover it.
