Every Marvel trailer we're expecting during Super Bowl LVIII (here's a hint, it's not many)

There should be some amazing movie trailers dropping during the Super Bowl but Marvel's slate might be smaller than expected.

Super Bowl LVIII is coming our way on Feb. 11 and the big game is sure to bring us some incredible new movie trailers to enjoy! The big game has become a launching pad for studios to debut new looks at upcoming releases including the first trailers for some of their biggest movies.

In past years, we've seen Marvel make a splash at the big game most recently with the likes of trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and a spot for Disney+ which dropped first looks at WandaVision, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As such, fans have come to expect Marvel to always have a seat at the table with at least one Super Bowl spot.

Marvel 2024 Super Bowl trailer plans

This year, Marvel Studios will indeed be debuting the first look at one of its upcoming titles with the expectation being Marvel will drop the first trailer for Deadpool 3 during the big game.

While we don't yet know how much Marvel might tease with the Deadpool 3 Super Bowl trailer, many are expecting the trailer will offer our first look at Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool sharing the screen together.

Of course, there is a chance the trailer could also tease a few other characters for the upcoming film which will mark Deadpool's first appearance in the MCU, but Marvel is likely to keep their cards as close to their chest as possible by avoiding a preview that has too many spoilers.

Aside from a trailer for Deadpool 3, Marvel Studios isn't expected to drop any additional teasers during the Super Bowl. As disappointing as this might be, it's actually not too surprising given that Deadpool 3 is the only Marvel Studios movie coming out this year and the only other live-action title, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, won't be coming until the fall meaning Disney can use D23 or SDCC to promote the series.

Sony isn't planning any Super Bowl spots which means no Kraven, Venom or Madame Web

Although Marvel Studios's 2024 theatrical schedule is on the thin side, there are a lot of Marvel characters heading to the big screen this year as Sony looks to carve out its Spide-Verse. Sony is scheduled to release three Marvel movies this year including Madame Web, Kraven the Hunter, and Venom 3.

Despite having a busy and packed movie slate, Sony reportedly has not bought any Super Bowl spots which means the studio does not have any plans to debut trailers for its three Spider-Verse movies during the game. This is disappointing, but not surprising as Sony has not debuted a trailer at the Super Bowl since 2017, so we knew it was a longshot that they'd debut a spot for Madame Web, Kraven the Hunter, or Venom 3, but that didn't stop us from hoping the studio would consider making a splash with one of its Marvel films.

With Sony sitting out the Super Bowl, it's looking like Deadpool 3 will not only be the only Marvel property to get a trailer during Super Bowl LVII but it will also be the only superhero film to debut new footage at this year's Super Bowl.

But don't fret, there will be plenty of other trailers to look out for over the course of the Super Bowl on Sunday!
