1. Superman and Lois
If you watch Superman and Lois you probably aren't surprised to see it at the top of this list. The DC TV series is by far the highest-quality Superman and Lois Lane story told on the screen; not just the small screen, the big one too. And it's really about time more people started giving it the love and appreciation it deserves.
The CW show revolves around the super couple much later in their lives than all previous adaptations, taking place long after they met, married and had kids. When their family needs a reset, Clark and Lois move back to Smallville to continue raising their teenage twin sons Jonathan and Jordan, all while balancing their parental roles with the dangers of being superheroes and world-renowned reporters.
The show is part superhero drama, part family drama and the marriage between the two is beautiful; once again showing the timeless appeal of Superman and how different genres can successfully be applied to him and his characters. It's a work of genius that ensures Superman and Lois is full of complex, mature writing, and nuanced performances from its incredible cast to go along with it.
It might be the most recent of the live-action Superman stories on TV but Superman and Lois is also the very best of them - and any movie or TV shows to come after it will have a very large cape to fill. From its cinematic special effects to the strength of its writing, this show is second to none.
