During the previous installment of Invincible season 2, Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible himself, finally got a big win. He was crucial in stopping the Sequids from invading Earth and prevented the Martians from taking Shapesmith back to Mars.
However, things weren’t all great for Mark. He and Amber are having relationship issues. If that’s not bad enough, the episode ends with Angstrom Levy returning to Earth with plans to attack Invincible.

The first few episodes of Invincible weren't as bloody as we’re used to seeing. The battle with the Lizard League was intense, but that’s the most graphic scene since the show returned. If you watch Invincible on Prime Video for the action, good news: Angstrom Levy will deliver that for you.
If Angstrom’s return is like it is in the source material, he’ll likely send Invincible on a voyage throughout the multiverse. Mark visited the Marvel Comics universe and met Spider-Man and the Avengers, journeyed to DC Comics to tell Batman his name is lazy, and more. Levy did this to wear down Mark before they fought. Thanks to some upgrades to Angstrom, the fight was even. Eventually, this leads to a showdown where Mark thinks he kills Angstrom.
Whether we'll see all of that on the show or not remains to be seen, but it's clear that Angstrom Levy's return will have a major impact on the series.
