How you can watch The Boys season 4 episode 6 online
By Mark Lynch
When Laz Alonzo said that episode 5 of season 4 of The Boys would be wild, he wasn’t joking. This episode ("Beware the Jabberwock, My Son") had farm animals hopped up on Compound V and eating people. As crazy as that was, that was a small part of the problem. The animals had V in their system because Victoria Neuman’s partner, Sameer, was experimenting on them. This gave Butcher a diabolical idea.
Butcher faked Sameer’s death by cutting his leg off and hiding his body. This led the authorities to believe Sameer was dead. Instead, Butcher and Kessler kept Sameer prisoner. Now they have a scientist who can create more of the virus that can kill anyone with Compound V in their system. This is similar to Butcher keeping Jonah Vogelbaum alive in The Boys comic book.
Random notes
- Will Victora Neuman tell the world she’s a supe?
- What will Victora Neumando with Stan Edgar?
- V’ed up farm animals is the most random thing they’ve done so far. That’s saying a lot considering The Deep had an octopus wrapped around his…guppie.
- Hughie’s dad called him Wee Hughie. I almost cried.
- Making fun of the comic book expos was hilarious. It proves they understand their audience and listen to their gripes.
- Frenchie turns himself into the police due to his guilt. How long does he stay in jail?

Things to think about
Sister Sage knows that something is up with A-Train. She’s probably always been aware that he was the one who stole the footage that exonerated Annie January’s followers. That means she has bigger plans for him. Part of it could be that they’re both Black superheroes in a world (and team) full of racism.
Also, what is Sage’s endgame? This is a question I’ve asked every week. The difference is now she’s being more blatant. The growth of her brain may be accelerating meaning she has to speed up her plan. Look for her to do something big in this episode.
Is Kessler real? Butcher is seeing and speaking to his dead wife Becca Butcher due to the V he took (and whatever is crawling around in his brain). That isn’t the only side effect. Butcher killed a supe after he blacked out (season 4, episode 4) and has no idea how it happened. Whatever’s wrong with Butcher is also protecting him.
Lastly, Homelander’s cathartic experience where he was experimented on gave him clarity. The first thing he did was listen to what his son (Ryan) wanted. He took that and used it to manipulate Ryan. Homelander shows Ryan that they’re powerful enough to do whatever they want to whoever. With that in mind, Homelander does something similar to the comic. He’s starting his coup with the supes. This is similar to what happened during The Boys: The Innocents.
