How you can watch X-Men '97 episode 6 online
By Mark Lynch
WARNING! MAJOR SPOILERS FOR X-MEN '97, EPISODE 5!
Previously, on X-Men ‘97, the creative team broke the hearts of every single viewer. Sentinels attacked Genosha and killed hundreds of innocent mutants. That’s bad enough, but it gets worse. Magneto was killed trying to protect the Morlocks. His last words were "Don't be afraid." At least they died next to their protector.
As hope seemed lost, Gambit saved the day. He protected Rogue from the giant sentinel's attack and went after the murderous robot. Unfortunately, he died in the process. The episode ends with Rogue crying and touching Gambit’s cheek as she says, “I can’t feel you.”
Writer's note. Uatu, a.k.a. The Watcher, can be seen in the upper right-hand corner of the screen at the 20:40 mark of the episode. Uatu's appearance means viewers should pay closer attention during MCU projects as something major is about to happen. It certainly did in this one.

A lot was happening in last week's stunning episode of X-Men '97. The Genosha attack was understandably at the heart of it, but that wasn't the only plotline in it.
As that was happening, the X-Men are being interviewed back at the mansion. The idea is to show that mutants shouldn’t be feared. Things are going decent until it's Cyclops. Scott goes on a rant about how humans treat mutants and they should be thankful that they’re different. Cyclops says that without their protection, the universe would be worse off.
Combine this with the tragedy during Genosha and his argument with Jean, we’re going to see an angrier Scott Summers going forward. Most likely the one who appeared after Avengers vs X-Men in the source material. Don't be shocked if he changes his uniform to reflect his mood.
Even with all of that happening, the next episode may not dive into the tragedy at Genosha or the fallout of the interview. The episode's official synopsis reveals that this will be about Storm and that’s a good thing. A Storm episode is a nice buffer after the previous episode. Fans will need a breather from everything that happened.
Secondly, this could be the moment where we see Storm get her powers back. That may lead her to challenge Cyclops’ leadership of the X-Men - A moment that happened in the comics (Uncanny X-Men No. 201). Storm may do this even if she doesn't regain her powers. This is an alternate reality. Things have proven to be different in some cases and similar in others.
