John Dimaggio's Aquaman was outrageous!
John Dimaggio is perhaps best known for his roles on Futurama. Among his other roles is Aquaman for Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Aquaman was one of the funniest characters on a show full of humor and charm. Well known for his classic costume design, and his catchphrase: Outrageous!
Aquaman makes many appearances in The Brave and the Bold. His first major appearance was in the episode "Evil Under The Sea!" Aquaman was one of Batman's most trusted allies his entire time on the show, and he admired Batman greatly. Batman and Aquaman often teamed up for their crime-fighting endeavors, on land or underwater.
Tons of DC heroes and villains appeared in The Brave and the Bold, but few as prolific as Aquaman. Aquaman made tons of appearances, whether it be in episodes like "Aquaman's Outrageous Adventure," or when Batman formed a new Justice League.
The comedy of the series was never better than when Aquaman was on screen. The Brave and the Bold gave us a comedic version of Aquaman, with a classic costume design. Much like how The Brave and the Bold is itself a love letter to the silver age of comics, Aquaman's costume was directly inspired by those very same comics.
The Justice League was a huge part of the series, a direct portrayal of the famous Justice League International. Aquaman was one of the very first heroes to join Batman's new League. The Justice League International is a fan favorite version of DC's greatest superhero team, with John Dimaggio's Aquaman being a key element.
John Dimaggio is one of the best comedic voice actors of all time, in addition to being one of the best Aquaman of all time. Batman: The Brave and the Bold is an amazing version of the DC universe, with a perfect Aquaman.
