The Marvel Cinematic Universe started with the release of Iron Man in 2008. More than 15 years later, there are 33 MCU movies featuring many of the same Marvel stars. It's safe to say that the MCU would not be where it is today without those performers, many of whom have been around since Phase 1. We shared the list of Marvel stars who have appeared in the most MCU movies.

There have been a bunch of Marvel stars who have appeared in at least five or six Marvel movies, including Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, Benedict Wong, Tom Hiddleston, and many more. The list of Marvel stars who have appeared in seven or more movies is a much smaller group. That's the group we're focusing on for this list.

There are nine Marvel stars who have appeared in at least seven MCU movies. While this list ranks the Marvel stars from fewest appearances to most appearances, it only includes MCU movie appearances. We mentioned the TV show appearances, but they aren't included in the overall total.

Before we get started, we also have to mention Stan Lee, the creator of many of these great characters. Lee appeared in almost every MCU movie in some form or fashion. Lee passed away in 2018.

Let's get the list started started with Sebastian Stan!

  • Avengers: Endgame

Sebastian Stan, like Chris Evans, joined the MCU with Captain America: The First Avenger, which is the first MCU movie in chronological order. Stan stars as Bucky Barnes, an American soldier and friend of Steve Rogers (Evans), who is thought to be killed in The First Avenger. He is saved (if we can call it that), broken down, and turned into an assassin for Hydra, known as the Winter Soldier. He's a villain of this story for a time, but Bucky is one of the good guys.

Stan appears in five more MCU movies following The Winter Soldier, including major appearances in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Stan also appears in cameos in Ant-Man and Black Panther, where it's confirmed that Bucky is alive and well in Wakanda following the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Stan also appears in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+. It's unclear where things will go for Stan and Bucky Barnes in the MCU. Stan will also star in Marvel's Thunderbolts, which was originally supposed to premiere in 2024 but has been pushed to May 2, 2025. As of right now, it doesn't look like Bucky Barnes will be featured in Captain America: Brave New World, but there's always the possibility, especially with Bucky's history, that we could see him in that movie, too. Regardless, Stan is moving up on this list in 2025.

Up next is Don Cheadle, who also starred in seven Marvel movies but joined the MCU before Stan!
