All good things must come to an end. In this case, it’s the X-Men’s Krakoan Era. The 2023 Hellfire Gala began the Fall of X series. Now, the mutants of Krakoa and Arakko and the Avengers are fighting back. How and if they come out on top remains to be seen. However, no matter what happens, this isn’t the end. Marvel Comics announced that the summer of 2024 will bring the X-Men from the ashes.

Writer Gail Simone (Batgirl and Deadpool) and artist David Marquez (Miles Morales: UltimateSpider-Man) are in charge of Uncanny X-Men. Their team has Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue, Nightcrawler, and Jubilee.

Simone says, "I think X-Fans are special in that we identify with having something different about us...and you're going to feel that in this book, and what it means to have that thing about you that's different, or exceptional. We go deep into the emotional part of that."

Eve Ewing (Black Panther and Riri Williams: Ironheart) and Carmen Carnero (Amazing Spider-Man and Miles Morales: Spider-Man) are behind Exceptional X-Men. Here, Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost will train the next generation of mutants after Kate comes across new mutants Bronze, Axo, and Melee. Ewing said, "Longtime fans of Kitty Pryde can count on the kinds of adventures you expect from her as a classic favorite, while I hope new and old readers alike will get to love this all-new team of young mutants,"

Last but not least, writer Jed MacKay (Moon Knight and Avengers) and artist Ryan Stegman (Alien: Black, White & Blood and She-Hulk) are behind X-Men. Their roster is Cyclops, Beast, Juggernaut Magneto (who's in a floating wheelchair), Temper (formerly Oya), Psylocke, Kid Omega, and Magik. Marvel.com said, “Krakoa is no more… but the X-Men fight on! From their new base in Alaska, the X-Men raise a flag of defiance!”

These are only the first three books announced with a full creative team. Wolverine, NYX, X-Factor, Phoenix, Storm, and X-Force were also announced. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to find out who the next writers and artists will be.
