MCU: All 16 Avengers ranked from weakest to strongest
3. Doctor Strange
Thor might be the most physically powerful of the Avengers, but there are many types of power out there; and one of the most effective of all is magic. Few know how to use it as effortlessly as Stephen Strange.
Though he might not consider himself an Avenger, Doctor Strange played a pivotal role in the team's battle against Thanos, gifting them with the means of defeating him by finding the single way of making it happen. He had the foresight to lose the first battle, sacrificing himself in the process, so that everyone could return five years later and win. I mean the levels of power we're talking about here are just ridiculous (or strange)!
Doctor Strange is a Master of the Mystic Arts and a former Sorcerer Supreme. Those might be fancy titles in the MCU, but they are titles that are earned. Strange has more than earned them, conjuring teleportation rings, ejecting souls from bodies, seeing possible futures, entering the Mirror Dimension and even closing breaches in the space-time contiuum. That doesn't even come close to explaining all of what he's capable of, but his greatest asset might just be the thing that holds it all together: His intelligence, as that is ultimately what enables him to successfully utilize all the tools he has learned.
Stephen Strange was a titan in the world of medicine before he turned to magic. Now, he's a titan of everything he puts his mind to. A sorcerer unlike anything we have ever seen, he brought magic into the MCU and skillfully put it to use in some astounding ways.
