2. Captain Marvel

The term "powerful" almost isn't strong enough to explain the sheer dominance that Captain Marvel is capable of. A formerly human pilot who was exposed to the cosmic energy contained in the Tesseract, her abilities include unbelievably superhuman strength, energy blasts, flight, and energy absorption. And that's not even taking into account how experienced she is in combat.

Carol Danvers' reputation preceded her, as fans knew they were going to get an incredibly-charged superhero in the first Captain Marvel movie, but the beauty about that movie was that we didn't get it right away. It built up to her moment, showcasing how her powers were being repressed since the accident that turned Carol into the radiant superhero she became. And when she finally embraced her powers, it was glorious.

Since then, Carol has gone face-to-face with Thanos, very nearly defeating him even when he was overpowered with the Infinity Gauntlet. She's a force of nature, capable of bursting onto the scene like a fiery missile, intent on preventing all evil from reigning throughout the galaxy. And when you see her dart through the sky like a shooting star, you just know Captain Marvel means business.

The levels of power that radiate from Carol make her one of the strongest entities to ever grace the silver screen.
