Marvel should consider Avengers vs. X-Men for Avengers 5
With the removal of actor Johnathan Majors as Kang, the previously titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is now being referred to as simply Avengers 5. This move has led many fans to speculate over what the future will hold for the film including YouTuber and industry insider Michael Roman.
Roman recently took to his channel Everything Always to break down what we could expect for the fifth Avengers film and brings a risky but incredibly enticing idea to make it an Avengers versus X-Men film.
A film showcasing two iconic teams from the Marvel universe would be a sight to see on the big screen. Though if not done right it could hurt the MCU even more. It is now known that Marvel wants to include the mutants sooner rather than later with the recent trajectory of the MCU to date. The X-Men have always been popular even before the MCU became an IP the X-Men already established their live-action franchises thanks to the Fox films.
Avengers 5 could follow suit in being another Civil War type of film but on a much bigger scale. This film with its cast alone would be an expensive movie to make. Add on all the practical and special effects, CGI, wardrobe, etc and this will be no easy task, but if done right and carefully this could be one of the biggest MCU films of all time, and finally let us see our favorite mutants in all their glory.
Though Avengers 5 is still far out we will have our mutant thirst quenched with the upcoming Deadpool 3 which we already know will feature Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool and is heavily rumored to feature a few other known mutants from the Fox universe. Perhaps it could help to pave the way for the X-Men to face off with the Avengers in the next Avengers movie.
