9 X-Men we wish had been in the movies

Though we love the ensemble we got throughout the 13 incredible X-Men movies that currently exist, there are some mutants we'd also love to have seen brought to life.

9. Glob Herman (Robert Herman)

Glob Herman isn't your typical superhero - he's more like a walking, talking jellybear with a twist. Kind of like Marvel wanted their own Jabba the Hutt-like creature and decided to make him even creepier and slimier.

His see-through skin shows off his skeleton and insides like a biology class skeleton decided to take a stroll. And just when you think he couldn't get any cooler, he proves us all wrong by setting himself on fire, but in a totally safe, not-going-to-burn-down-the-theater way. Glob would bring a whole new meaning to "lighting up" a scene, mixing in a dash of humor with his quirky, gelatinous charm. Plus, his ability to literally glow would make him a literal beacon of hope or a flashy distraction, depending on the day.

Now, think about the deeper moments in X-Men movies, where characters grapple with feeling different or not fitting in. This is where his story would fit in so well.

Glob Herman is the ultimate outsider, a character whose very appearance challenges what it means to be accepted. Yet, his story could weave together comedy with important and touching moments, teaching us that being different isn't just okay - it's extraordinary. Through Glob, audiences could explore themes of acceptance, self-love, and finding one's place in the world, all wrapped up in a visually stunning package that's as heartwarming as it is unique.

Whether he's lighting up the battlefield or just hanging out with his X-Men pals, Glob Herman would undoubtedly add a special spark to the X-Men movies, proving that heroes come in all shapes, sizes, and consistencies.

These nine characters not only have fascinating abilities but also rich backstories and personalities that could have easily added new layers of depth to the X-Men cinematic universe. Their inclusion in future movies or series could provide fresh narratives and explore uncharted territories within the X-Men lore.

Fingers crossed we get to see these fine characters make their way to the big screen sometime soon.
