In the world of Mashle: Magic and Muscles, being strong means everything.

If one finds themselves being weak or not catching up with the rest of their peers, they'll easily be left behind while others pass them by. In some cases, some students are so weak that they're left with no choice other than to drop out of Easton Magic Academy and live a life as ordinary as they can. Even so, every student can surpass another, so long as they have what it takes to push their limits and be creative with their strengths.

There are tons of characters in this anime that fit the bill of being the strongest character or the character that can hold their own in a battle. Still, some characters belong to an entirely different caliber, posing a threat to anyone who isn't smart enough to wave the white flag. This is why we've compiled a list ranking these characters from weakest to strongest!

Mashle: Magic and Muscles character power ranking

As much as we love each character and think they are unique in their own way, there are some we just wouldn't call for help if we were ever in danger. And what characters fit this more than Lemon Irvine and Finn Ames?

8. Lemon Irvine

At the bottom of the totem pole is Lemon Irvine, a sweet girl who desperately needs a buff if she wants to keep up with the rest of the students at Easton Magic Academy.

Lemon looked like a threat when we first met her in the earlier episodes of Mashle: Magic and Muscles. She was sly and was able to get our protagonist Mashle in chains to subdue him. Yet, once Mash was able to break out of his chains out of brute strength alone, we recognized that maybe her magic is only powerful in very, very limited situations.

Additionally, Lemon tends to take a backseat to all the action and fights that go down, leading us to think that her powers are not reliable enough for every fight. Sadly, it seems that she is nothing more than a side character at the moment.

7. Finn Ames

While we understand living in your brother's shadow is difficult, we don't think that's enough of an excuse for Finn to be as weak as he is.

Finn coming in last after placement exams was a huge testament to how lost and out of place he can be among his fellow students. Case in point, during the Divine Visionary Selection Exam where Finn got practically pummeled to a pulp.

What's more, Finn doesn't do much when he and his friends are in trouble; not because he doesn't want to. Rather, it's because he genuinely doesn't know what to do or how to help.

Though Finn may be weak in power and, sometimes, in spirit, he is very clever and knows how he can use his weaknesses to, at the very least, distract the enemy for a bit. Where he lacks is brawn, he makes up for in brains.

We're bound to see more of Finn's powers in later episodes. But for now, we're not really impressed by this Ames brother.
