4. Jessica Jones

You might have noticed that we mentioned Jessica Jones just a few moments ago, so it's time to show a little appreciation for that series. Also part of Netflix's shared universe of Marvel superheroes, the show was the first Daredevil spinoff, expanding the Defenders-verse with a darker, grittier, crime thriller that focused on private investigator Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) and her history with the horrifying Kilgrave.

The series had a bit of an up-and-down run. Like most of the shows in the Netflix Marvel franchise, its later seasons experienced a huge drop in quality (perhaps that was due to the episode count, or it might have been down to the struggle of trying to fit the subsequent seasons into the shared universe), which meant that it went out on a bit of a low note. And yet, its first season was so critically-acclaimed that many regard it to be even better than the adored Daredevil.

Back then, Jessica Jones' three seasons were considered part of the Netflix franchise only, but now we know that the whole umbrella of Netflix shows have been retroactively welcomed into the MCU. That means that Jessica Jones herself exists in this franchise.

With that in mind, now is the time to give her a sequel series or Special Presentation on Disney Plus, too.
