The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a veteran of the movie landscape, producing countless hours of entertainment on both the big and small screens. It's revered for how it was able to craft a coherent and successful shared universe across multiple movies, bringing together some of Marvel Comics' most famous characters and storylines under one big cinematic umbrella.

The MCU has gifted us with some of the greatest live-action superheroes of all time, with the likes of Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury and more all being beloved by fans.

That being said, not every character to set foot in the MCU has been greeted with open arms. The good news is that most of the time, that's intentional on the part of Kevin Fiege and his team of creatives, but sometimes it isn't, and fans just don't respond well to certain characters that Marvel Studios wanted us to.
