The vast universe of Star Trek is one filled with characters as varied as the stars themselves. From the valiant captains steering their ships through the dangers of other galaxies and quadrants to the brilliant scientists unraveling the mysteries of the universe, Star Trek has given us a plethora of personalities that have marched their way into our hearts.

But, let's be real, not every character is the shining, likable being the writers thought they would be.

In this lineup, there are a few who stir up the pot more than they save the day, and we're not just talking about the villains. Think about those characters who make you roll your eyes so hard you could almost see the back of your brain. Yes, amid all the beloved heroes and heroines, Star Trek has its share of characters who are more like a tribble problem - amusing at first, but eventually, you're wondering, "Why are there so many of them?".

So let's set our phasers to "fun" as we warp into the world of some of the less-celebrated members of the Star Trek family - the black sheep of this huge family. These characters might not have the charisma of Captain Kirk or the wisdom of Spock, but they add their own unique flavor to the Star Trek universe. They're the ones who make you appreciate the heroes even more and remind you that in a universe as diverse as Star Trek, there's room for everyone – even the Neelixes of the world.
