7. Harry Kim (Star Trek: Voyager)

Bless his heart. Harry Kim is like that one friend who always tries a bit too hard and still doesn't quite hit the mark. Kim, played by Garrett Wang, is the Starfleet ensign who, despite his best efforts, often seems to be stuck in a rut of bad luck and underachievement.

Picture this: you're flung across the galaxy, 70,000 light-years from home, and what's your big break? Perpetually being the junior officer, the guy who can't get a promotion to save his life, even when he literally saves lives. It's like he's cursed by the Starfleet gods to forever be the "new guy." And let's not forget his misadventures in love – if there was a space equivalent of ghosting, Harry Kim's been on the receiving end of it more times than we can count. His romantic escapades are a mix of cringe and bad timing that make you want to reach through the screen and give him a good shake.

Then there's his personality, or should I say, the mild seasoning in a galaxy of rich flavors. Harry is the vanilla ice cream of the Voyager crew – nice, sweet, but oh-so-plain. In a show filled with strong, dynamic characters like Captain Janeway, Seven of Nine, and the ever-entertaining Doctor, Harry just doesn't stand out. He's like that guy at a party who's really nice but doesn't have any memorable stories to tell. You want to like him, you really do, but he just doesn't give you enough to work with. His character is often written with such a lack of depth that it feels like he's there just to fill a uniform. And when he does get screen time, it's often the kind that has you whispering, "Oh, poor Harry," rather than cheering him on.

It's no wonder that in the realm of Star Trek, where fans celebrate the bold and the brave, poor Harry Kim ends up being the character many love to sigh over.
