The Arrowverse was a shared universe full of love. There was love for the product itself from its devoted fans, love amongst those fans, and love for the creatives behind bringing The CW's shared universe of superheroes to life. But there was also love for the heroes (and villains); as many beloved characters found themselves falling in love with other characters.

Yes, sparks flew in the Arrowverse. It didn't matter if you were in Star City, Central City, National City, or even Gotham City. Heck, even the timestream had some romance as there were plenty of memorable love stories over on DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

That being said, not all couples were as beloved as the characters involved in them. Whether the characters just weren't right for each other, or the couples got bogged down in overdramatic writing, the Arrowverse was unfortunately responsible for some problematic pairings that fans just couldn't get behind.

Taking all of that into account, let's look back into the Arrowverse archives and see which couples on either Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends, Batwoman or Black Lightning fans grew to hate (while also looking at whether their infamous reputations were deserved).
