7. Dominik Mysterio

Just a few short years ago the idea of Dominik Mysterio being one of the top heels in WWE would not have been in anyone's minds. He was a likable, respectable young man with some serious in-ring talent and pairing him with his father Rey Mysterio was a wise choice. But his eventual heel turn, which saw him turn on Rey and tag team partner Edge was a real shocker.

Now, Dominik can't even speak one word without his voice being drowned out by a chorus of loud boos from the audience. He's a member of the Judgement Day and always cheats to win, which really allows the character to double down on the reasons that fans hate him, making him quite possibly the most loathed superstar in WWE today. The beauty of it all is that it's 100% intentional.

WWE wants audiences to hate "Dirty Dom" so they keep exaggerating the character, purposely fuelling fans' disdain towards the character. It's honestly a touch of genius and we don't give Dominik Mysterio enough credit for pulling it off so well. From his expertly-played heel shtick to the smug smirk that never leaves his face, he makes the WWE Universe despise him on a weekly basis and that's a huge credit to him and his commitment to the character.

Not everyone wants to be hated by fans, but sometimes they need to be. Dominik Mysterio understands that so well, portraying Dirty Dom as an annoying, arrogant, and odious man - everything the WWE Universe hates. What a treat to see him outdo himself each and every week.
