108 - Flight of the Bumblebee

4. Travis

Travis is another character I found annoying in season 1, but got better in season 2. In the first season, he would always walk around with a chip on his shoulder like he was the only one stranded in the wilderness and was going through stuff. He would constantly treat Natalie horribly and even judge her for being sexually active. And don't get me started on how he treated his younger brother Javi.

Remember the scene where Javi kept a piece of gum that his father had given him because it was the only thing he had left of his, and Travis made him spit it out? That was just pure evil. I know his bad personality mainly stemmed from him not having a good relationship with his dad and being bullied, but that's not an excuse to be mean to people, especially those who are nice to you.

In season 2, Travis was less mean to Natalie, even helping her escape from being killed by the other Yellowjackets as a sacrifice. He was also much nicer to Javi, trying his best to be caring and understanding of all that his brother had gone through while being in the wilderness by himself for two months. It was truly heartbreaking to see him mourn Javi after his tragic death.

3. Mari

Mari is more annoying than anything, and that's what makes me dislike her. All she does throughout the series is make little snarky comments and bully the other characters, especially Misty. The only time where I didn't fault her was when she called out Jackie for not pulling her weight like everyone else.

It seems like the point of her character is for her to stir the pot (literally and figuratively) and create drama. I find it funny how she didn't initially like Lottie but was one of the first people to start believing in her visions. Now she's like her No. 1 hype man. There's a lot of speculation that she could be pit girl, so we might not be seeing her for much longer.
