New poster and release date revealed for Arcane season 2
Netflix has just dropped the first poster for Arcane season 2, and it’s stirring up all kinds of feelings.
If you thought Vi and Jinx’s relationship was complicated before, buckle up, because it looks like things are about to get even messier.
Arcane, the smash-hit animated series from Netflix, is a stunning blend of epic storytelling and jaw-dropping animation, rooted in the lore of the massively popular game, League of Legends. Brought to life by Riot Games and French animation studio Fortiche, Arcane dives deep into the origins of beloved champions like Vi and Jinx, exploring their tumultuous paths from childhood in the underbelly of Zaun to becoming key players in the conflict with the glittering city of Piltover. With its rich characters, intricate plots, and breathtaking visuals, Arcane isn't just a treat for League fans but a must-watch saga that stands on its own.
Remember the heartwarming (and heartbreaking) moments from season 1 where Vi, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld (yes, our own Hawkeye), tried to console her younger sister Powder? Well, forget all that mushy stuff because the new poster flips it on its head. This time, we see Jinx, fully embracing her chaotic persona, looming over Vi with a sinister look. Vi’s face is a mix of fear and shock – has Jinx done something terrible, or is she about to drop a bombshell revelation? Either way, the tension is palpable and I AM SO HERE FOR IT.
So, what do we know about the upcoming season? Not much, to be honest, but the teaser did give us a glimpse of Singed, the mad scientist, and his monstrous creation, Warwick. League of Legends fans are buzzing with theories that Warwick might actually be an altered version of Vander, Vi and Jinx’s adoptive father. Remember how Singed took Vander’s body back to his lab in episode 9? Well, the poster’s tagline, “Nothing ever stays dead,” seems to hint that this theory might hold water.
Could Vi’s terrified expression in the poster be because she sees Warwick and realizes it’s her father? Or has Jinx done something even more shocking? The mystery deepens, and we can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
Arcane season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix in November 2024. Just a few more months until we dive back into the beautifully animated, emotionally charged world of Piltover and Zaun.
